First time at the Speedway By Scott.
Finally, we [me, mum and Michaela] get to go to a Demolition Derby! I’ve been wanting this forever! But the downside is that we had to walk.
When we were all ready we got our bits and pieces, we started walking.
It wasn’t as long as you think. It only took a couple of minutes to get there.
When we got there it cost my mum a lot of money to get in.
When we got in I saw 2 cars driving around and making spectators go wild!!
While we were there my stomach was lurching and my mum didn’t even realise.
In the middle of the sport Mum, Michaela and I got chips and a drink.
Oh haven’t I told you that the cars have trailers with boats and caravans!!
And finally, it was finished, and #6 won.
Auckland By Luke
“Are we there yet?”I moaned for the 50th time
“ About 5 minutes.”mum replied. It was nearly the end of a boring car trip to the Heritage Hotels in Auckland. We were hoping the All Blacks would be staying there too!
We finally arrived at the Heritage. The last time our family had stayed there some professional tennis players had stayed there , so we got to say hello to them!
We walked inside the Heritage and had a glance at the amazing hotel. My eyes reached the couch and sitting on it was Richie Mccaw!Plucking up my courage,I walked up to him and asked him to sign my ball.
For the whole time we stayed there I got 15 signatures on my rugby ball and had 11 photos with the All Blacks. We had a great time at the Heritage Hotels and I would love to stay there again.
