Many years ago, there was a legent called Kuia and her faithful dog. It all started like this....
Every morning, Kuia and her dog would climb the Mount and relax, enjoy the warm sun. She also likes walking in the hot sand, the water would tickle her feet.
But one morning she was at the top.She saw something over the sea, coming her way, it was a war party.”I must tell my people”she thought.
She was running fast down to the village. Her dog was following her. Kuia yelled HELP, her people heard her, they were getting ready.
As she was rushing down, by accident, she leapt over a sharp rock and landed in the water, with her face down in the water. Her dog tried to hold her head up but he let go and sank too.
Tangora the god of the sea, turned Kuia and her dog into rocks When fishermen pass through there they throw food to feed kuia and her dog.
