The City
The city was usual enough;
It had business buildings towering over houses,
traffic lights that didn’t change from red,
concrete covered with bubble gum
and very crowded streets.
my sister and I did what kids do-
biking around streets,
buying sweets at the dairy,
playing at the school
doing nothing important.
