Auckland Trip!
Ok, we’re finally here in Auckland, at my Nana’s beach motel. YEAH!
First Raiha & I unpack, then we have dinner, it is some under cooked chicken with brussel sprouts, GROSS. Raiha and I say we are not hungry so we get sent straight to bed.
We wake up, & guess what is waiting for us upstairs? A very angry Nana, & last nights dinner, the one we didnt lay a hand on. We eat it because we are so hungry. It isn’t that bad. We are now full and ready for the big day ahead.
We gather up our togs, towels and shoes. We head over the big hill with Nana . We head for the Waiwera hot pools. We finally arrive, after my Nana’s appalling driving. I feel much better now I am out of the car. Raiha and I run straight to the entrance, I win the race of course.
“And whats this?” I say to Raiha,
“It opens at 10:30!”
“What?” Raiha and I shout at each other . My Nana calls out ,
“It is 9:00, so that gives us time to clean up the house, come on, hop in the car.” “NO WAY!” Raiha and I demand, “we would rather wait.”
“Fine,” my Nana says. We wait for 1 hour and a half .
We finally get let into Waiwera. It is amazing. There are huge slides. We race to the slides.
“Sorry guys the slides open at 11:00.” says Dave the lifeguard. We both hold our breaths and say to one another,
“Its ok, we will wait.” We were nearly crying. First, waiting for it to open for 1 hour and a half, and now another half an hour, great! Could it get any worse? We finally get let in to the slides. Wow! They are huge. First I go down the babies slides, ahhh it is scary! I’m screaming all the way down. There are some 3 year olds behind me.
“Scooz me,” they shout. “keep your volume down when you go down the slides thank you.”
“Ok,” I say, not really listening to a couple of three year olds.
Raiha leads me up to the “Black Hole”.
“It is fun,” she says.
“No way am I going down there,” I say. “Fine!” she replies.
She forces me to go down “The Way to Heaven”.
“Way to heaven? That wasn’t heaven, that was the total opposite.”
Nana calls us and says, “ it is nearly dinner time. Come on we’d better go.” “My tummy already fells bad,” Raiha says to me.
“Me too,” I reply.
